Look Before You Drink!!!
Last Sunday, I went to work early. I wanted to get my cleaning done before I had to deal with customers. While cleaning I smelled the glorious smell of Peking as they opened their gates, welcoming me to stop what I had originally came to do. After filling a take out box full of sushi and spicy chicken, I immediately sat down at work and started to stuff down my wonderful lunch. I realized I didn't get a drink but then it hit me, I had left a Snapple tea in my mini fridge at work.
Snapple, the nectar of Gods. Surely that would quench my thirst. I usually check the random facts on the inside of the cap before I drink, but after eating so much spicy chicken and sushi with wasabi, I wanted that damn Snapple immediately. I took a sip and something didn't taste right. I thought maybe it was the food. I took another sip and something solid hit my lips. A solid in my liquid. I looked in the bottle and the horror hit me.
Atleast it's colorful. Black/green chunks, some white chunks, white with red spots. YAY! |
The fact was awesome as always. |
Made from the best stuff on earth!!! |
Yes, that's mold. Mold that went right into my mouth. Disgusted, I threw away my food. No other shops were open besides Peking, so I couldn't even go to a Dollar Tree for a cheap toothbrush and some toothpaste. Had I checked the damn cap for the awesome random fact, I wouldn't have drank the mold. Not wanting to feel defeated, and still wanting a Snapple for some reason, I ran to the Dollar Tree as soon as they opened, bought a toothbrush and toothpaste and a nice new Snapple which I checked thoroughly. Bottom line is always check your bottles before you drink! And yes, I still love my Snapple. I suspect a tea leaf was left inside and caused the mold.
